We welcome students, parents, faculty and alumni to view our website. Learn more about this history rich and close knit sorority.

Alpha Beta Chi was founded by twelve young women in the Fall of 1952 as the first sorority on the Alfred State College campus. It was originally named Wheaton House and known as the musical sorority. ABC colors are Blue and White. From the beginning to present day, Alpha Beta Chi Sorority has held strong to the traditions and bonds of sisterhood: closeness, community, cooperation, dependability and happiness.

Sisters carry these traditions with them after their days at Alfred are over. Our sisters are sharp, confident women from all walks of life, religions, race and personal orientation. We are proud of our accomplishments and look forward to the future.

Education is key. Many sisters go on to other higher learning institutions like Alfred University, Elmira College, Keuka College, Purdue University, University of Buffalo and University of Rochester.

ABC has "turned out" a myriad of successful women. We are proud of our accountants, architects, teachers, nurses, chefs, vetinary technitians, court reporters, real estate professionals, engineers and our full time moms!

GO LADY PIONEERS! We take pride in our school and that includes representing ASC on the sports field. Congratulations to sister Caitlyn Peterson on earning NJCAA All-American Honors, Outdoor Track & Field and All-Region III Outdoor Track & Field in the 2007-2008 year.

We are not just a sorority but a family.
