	History Photos Officers Events Parents-Pledging Alumni   Dear Parents, When a parent asks their daughter why she is considering pledging, the answers can be different but most have the same ultimate answer, the bonds of sisterhood. Alpha Beta Chi is committed to the history and future of the sorority. We take pride in holding strong to our long standing traditions. Any young woman who is a full time, student on campus wishing to learn more about our house is encouraged to attend Rush. This is a way for her to meet the sisters and others who are interested in possibly pledging.  It is a fun, very relaxed environment to learn about Greek life and what ABC is all about. We have snacks, soda, play games and have a great time! If one decides to pledge she must be: a full time second semester , on campus student with a GPA of 2.0 or higher. A transfer student, must bring at least 12 credit hours from her previous school to be able to pledge first semester. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, or personal orientation. We welcome diversity and the wonderful uniqueness it brings. If a young woman decides to pledge she will have full support of the active house and alumni. All pledges have contact with our House Advisor, Patricia Amidon. Patricia is a respected faculty member at ASC Counseling Services as the Coordinator of Peer and Health Education. She is also an Honorary member of ABC . Another respected member of ASC faculty is Dr. Steven Tyrell, Vice President of Student Affairs. ABC works closely with Dr. Tyrell and Greek Senate. We work to maintain and follow the requirements of Alfred State Student Conduct Code . We also work to follow guidelines set forth by Greek Senate during the pledging period on.
